Tom leads the theatre’s technical department, overseeing productions, strategic planning and technical development to ensure the venue can support modern touring productions and events.
Tom spends most of his time making sure productions run smoothly, audiences have a great experience, and backstage chaos stays mostly under control.
With a background in lighting and theatre technology, he enjoys the mix of creativity and problem solving that comes with live events - whether that’s supporting touring productions, improving technical systems, or helping ambitious ideas come to life on stage. Since joining the theatre, he has worked across a wide range of productions, events and venue projects while supporting the day-to-day running of the technical department.
Outside of work, Tom enjoys spending time with his young family and can usually be found balancing theatre life with family life - often with a coffee somewhere nearby. Fun fact - Tom's cocker spaniel, Lily, appeared as Toto in our 2022/23 pantomime, The Wizard of Oz.
