A special reception held for our local business community

On Wednesday 2 October we held a special evening reception for our local business community at Theatre Royal Winchester, to update them on the significant changes we've made both in terms of our brand and branding structure, as well as the refurbishment of Theatre Royal Winchester's foyer to become a Cafe Bar.  The evening also provided the opportunity to highlight the ways in which the local business community can help us in our vision to delight and unite.

Our Chief Executive, Deryck Newland, introduced guests to the charity Play to the Crowd and our new brand identities, as well as our vision to delight and unite and the importance that the arts plays in society in helping to create healthy and engaged community. Deryck also spoke of the breadth of our creative learning and community engagement work, both in Winchester and the wider district, and that, to highlight the importance of this area of our output, we have brought this to the forefront with its own brand identity: Playmakers.  Deryck thanked Marmalade on Toast, the Winchester based branding agency who helped us with our branding project, for their work with us.

Kirstie Mathieson, Marketing and Communications Director, then thanked current investors and partners for coming with us on this journey and spoke of the ways in which the business community can support us - from popping in for cup of coffee or hiring one of our spaces for events and meetings. Kirstie also spoke of our newly launched Corporate Membership scheme, and the new partnership opportunities the charity has to offer.

Guests continued to network and enjoy canapes provided by Loch Fyne Winchester, one of our Corporate members.
