Play to the Crowd wasn't born in a boardroom; it was grown from a love for Winchester and a belief that the arts belong to everyone.

From stage lights to street corners: we are the charity behind Theatre Royal Winchester, our beautiful heritage home, and Hat Fair, the UK's longest‑running festival of Outdoor Arts.

In 2019, we brought these icons together under one name — Play to the Crowd — to better reflect our mission: using live performance as a tool to connect, educate, and inspire.
